About me
Amanda Poole is a specialist in primary science education and Chartered Science Teacher. As a physicist, she began her career as a secondary advanced skills teacher in Coventry and after holding a range of senior leadership roles in secondary education she moved into the field of primary science education. She is now a Primary Science Education Consultant and Education Researcher completing a PhD at the University of Warwick. She currently holds various roles including School Culture Lead for The Ogden Trust and Primary Outreach Project Leader for the Sidney Stringer Multi Academy Trust in Coventry, as well as founding and leading the Space Camp UK project in collaboration with the Stephen Hawking Foundation and the SHINE Trust. Amanda formed part of the team that developed the policy report, The 10 Key issues with Children's Learning in Primary Science (March 21), and is currently engaged in the follow up 'In Focus' research project which was inspired by the report.
