The Ogden Trust supports schools, teachers, projects and programmes that are committed to enhancing physics teaching and learning. We aim to reach those who are most disenfranchised from physics and the opportunities it can bring.
Ogden school-led
partnerships provide five years of funding, support and CPD to help build collaborative teaching communities. The CPD ranges from Early Years through to KS3 and is accompanied by free resources to encourage practical science in the classroom.
We have a programme of
support for
early career teachers of physics providing free professional development, coaching and mentoring from initial teacher training through to fifth year teaching post qualifying. Our
Subject Knowledge for Physics Teaching CPD supports teachers teaching physics out of specialism, helping them to develop their knowledge, confidence and pedagogy.
Every programme leads to our
Teacher Network which offers further support for those who want to develop their physics teaching through classroom leadership initiatives, education research or inspiring CPD opportunities.
Resources to enthuse and encourage young scientists are freely available on our website.
We would love to talk to you about the Ogden programmes and our support for teachers and schools – please come and see us at the exhibition at the ASE 2025 Annual Conference.
