Discover Materials aims to inspire the next generation of Materials Scientists and Engineers through both our website and our network of ambassadors (generally early career Materials Scientists). We run workshops and stalls at science festivals, sessions both in schools and online and we also run teacher CPD session to help teachers identify the topics in the curriculum relevant to Materials Science and to help inspire their students.
Discover Materials is a collaboration between a group of UK universities’ Materials Science Departments, the Henry Royce Institute for Advanced Materials, and other members of the materials science community.
